Our city is hurting. Businesses are struggling and downtown is in dire straits. As a community, we are in a constant state of flux, continually pivoting to adjust to the latest state of affairs due to the global pandemic. The times are trying and quite frankly, depressing. Operation ELEVATE! was born out of a desire to add some beauty back into our everyday.
Let’s bring delight to our downtown.
The City of Music.
The auditory experience of our city is a blank canvas. Music has the potential to transport the human spirit; it can raise up the ordinary and bring beauty to the streets. Let’s collectively tap into the Mozart Effect and bring the Classics to the City.
Let’s embrace our streetscape.
The City of Senses.
Our sensory experience of our city has been forced to change. It is not safe to gather indoors in the embrace of a building but we can still safely walk through downtown Anchorage. We can still use our ears and we can listen to music.
Let’s stay safe until we can gather again.
The City of Hope.
We might be hunkering down, but that doesn’t mean we are closed down for good. Let’s offer a little bit of hope to our lives through a collective effort to play the classics simultaneously throughout our downtown core.
